10/10/2023 0 Comments Bear writer synching![]() Other OS's might be suffering from a similar issue and a similar workaround could likely be used, tweaked for the game paths in use on that OS. Plus, you can choose multiple export formats including txt, markdown, docx, etc. To the developers - if you see this - not sure if this is on your end or the Steam framework you might be using but to avoid this workaround either the call to cloud sync should be pointed at the directory actually written to by the game or the game needs to save to the folder that the steam cloud sync is checking. Both apps allow you to export your notes. I'll try to give write commands you can simply copy and paste into a terminal window below for those that aren't sure what I'm talking about.Ģ - copy and paste "cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/"ģ - copy and paste "mkdir Lazy\ Bear\ Games"Ĥ - copy and paste "ln -s ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Lazy Bear Games.Graveyard Keeper Graveyard\ Keeper" Everything you wanted to know about Bonnie Way, the blogged behind The Koala Bear Writer, with links to get to know her better. You should be able to create the folder using the Finder and paste the second command into a terminal window. in the symbolic link command the \ escapes the space in the name "Graveyard Keeper" ~ is a shortcut that represents your User folder Whether you're writing your next book or a research paper, you can't go wrong with Scrivener. Scrivener is is a full-fledged writing app for any type of writing. Ln -s ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Lazy Bear Games.Graveyard Keeper Graveyard\ KeeperĪfter doing that the next time I went to start the game it pulled down my save file from Steam Cloud and my save game was there to use.Ī couple of notes for those that might not be familiar with some of what I wrote above. Thanks to syncing with Dropbox, you can share your work between Scrivener for iPhone and iPad and its big brother for Mac. The fix I used get the cloud saves to work had two steps:ġ - Create the folder "Lazy Bear Games" in the ~/Library/Application Support FolderĢ - Create a symbolic link inside the above folder with the following syntax: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Lazy Bear Games.Graveyard Keeper The game is writing the actual save files to the following path: ~/Library/Application Support/Lazy Bear Games/Graveyard Keeper In short: even though it’s 2021, sync is still hard. This is perfect for organizing your second brain and keeping the bigger picture and the clutter away when working from a nice level-headed 35,000 ft. books/harry-potter will create 2 tags: the books tag and will nest harry-potter beneath it. The game/ steam cloud sync process is expecting the save data to live in the following path: In Bear, You can also easily nest tags under another. ![]() copies bear this notice and the full citation on the first page. Through reading a number of posts I saw a couple pieces of information and made an educated guess on how to "fix" the cloud sync problem. Like many mobile text editors these days, the Bear writing app lets you compose in markdown. As of this writing, the major users of DS are the set of code editors which use. So drafts taking a bit of time to synch might be BETTER.Hi all - I had noticed - like a number of you - that the cloud save option wasn't working on macOS. I think that writing piles of notes and sending them around to different devices is cool, but sending a few really great ideas (if I ever manage to come up with any) and thinking about them carefully over time, is much cooler, and something I need to work on. If I absolutely need to send myself a note immediately, so I am sure that it will absolutely be on my desktop moments later, then I can use Things, a notebook, or something… That means (based on my highly unscientific two-day check) that Drafts works fine, but it can take a while sometimes. Things synched instantly and Drafts was just a few seconds slower today. Then I dictated another note into Things. I dictated a note into my Drafts App on my Apple Watch. I just tried another test on my Apple watch. I want to make sure my Apple Watch Drafts App works for me without my iPhone. I am liking Drafts a lot, so I am going to keep trying to get it to work on my Apple Watch as well. I then review it later and process it in Drafts. At the moment I have discovered dictating into Things on my Apple Watch works fine, so I am using it as a workaround. I have been trying to get Drafts on my Apple Watch to work without success.
